Des Kelly Interiors has been bringing value to Irish consumers for over 50 years, through good times and bad, making quality floor coverings, beds and furniture available to the people of Dublin and beyond, formerly as Des Kelly and Des Kelly Carpets.

It might be hard to believe now that back when Des started out in business, all those years ago, very few people could afford carpet. In fact it was seen as a preserve of “the well to do” and merely an aspiration for the working class families of Dublin, Meath, Louth, Wicklow, Kildare, Carlow and beyond.

Many a working class mother dream of a bit of carpet for the front room.

Indeed so much so that when she finally got it she would often keep that room under lock and key to keep the carpet looking fine, only opening it up on “state occasions” to show off the carpet.
