Our family, the Belkhirias, opened their first olive mill in the small town of Jammel over one hundred years ago. Jammel is in the Sahel region of Tunisia, which has been producing olive oil since before it was a part of the Roman Empire. Known for its fine soil, the area is considered to be the best for nurturing olive trees. As a testament to the good growing conditions, the Sahel currently boasts over six million trees. It is in this rich setting that we have been cultivating and producing olive oil, using techniques that we refined and perfected over the generations.
