Connecticut Gastric Sleeve

Gastric sleeve surgery used by Ehrlich Bariatrics in Connecticut, also known as a sleeve gastrectomy or gastric sleeve resection, is relatively new, yet safe, weight loss surgery. Sometimes a sleeve gastrectomy is performed as a first stage operation in patients with a body mass index that may preclude initially having other weight loss surgeries. This procedure allows patients to reach a healthy weight and then undergo other procedures such as Roux-en-Y gastric bypass or duodenal switch. Patients can also achieve a great deal of success when the gastric sleeve is done as a stand-alone procedure without a more invasive procedure such as the gastric bypass.
