For me, photography is more about exploring the outdoors. Always finding something new in places I have been multiple times or never before. Everything is constantly changing. To slow down and find the right position for a photograph is all I need to do. With outdoor photography I do not compose the subject matter, I merely document it for that split second (or seconds, depending on the shot). Looking into a tiny universe with a macro lens or a wide-open panorama, the photograph will create itself. I just push buttons and switch settings to reveal certain parts of those worlds. To stop and smell, feel, hear and sometimes taste my surroundings is why I take the photos in the first place. The end print is a delightful added bonus. Go outside and explore!
